Eligibility Criteria

Crescent First Grade College For Women is open exclusively to women students. Here's what you need to qualify for each programme.

B.Com
Bachelor of Commerce
  • Must have passed the 10+2 / PUC (Pre-University Course) or equivalent examination from a recognised Board
  • Commerce stream with subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies, or Economics is preferred — but not mandatory
  • Minimum 40% aggregate marks in qualifying examination (35% for SC/ST/OBC as per government norms)
  • Open to all religions, castes, and communities — women candidates only
  • No upper age limit for general candidates; age relaxation as per Karnataka government norms for reserved categories
  • Students appearing for their final PUC / Class XII exams may apply provisionally, subject to qualifying upon result declaration
Students from Science, Arts, or Vocational streams are also eligible for B.Com provided they meet the minimum percentage criteria. The college provides a foundational Commerce bridge module for non-Commerce students.

  • Arts / Humanities stream students are especially encouraged, though all streams are welcome
  • Minimum 35% aggregate marks in qualifying examination (relaxation as per Karnataka state norms for reserved categories)

  • Lateral entry from Diploma holders may be considered subject to university regulations
  • Students awaiting results may apply provisionally — admission confirmed upon passing with required marks
The B.A. programme is open to students from Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams as well. Subject combinations are chosen during enrolment counselling, ensuring every student finds the right academic path.

Admissions are purely merit-based, determined by marks in the qualifying examination. The provisional merit list will be published on the college website and notice board on 5 August 2026. Shortlisted candidates will also receive an SMS notification. Objections to the merit list, if any, may be raised within 2 working days.

Complete Enrolment & Fee Payment

Selected candidates must report to the college admission office between 6–15 August 2026 with all original documents and the semester fee. After verification and fee payment, the student will receive her Student ID card and be officially enrolled. Classes for the 2026–27 batch begin 18 August 2026.

No. While Crescent First Grade College For Women was established with Islamic values and caters strongly to the Muslim community, the college warmly welcomes women students of all religions, castes, and communities. Our only requirement is that all applicants are women.
Yes, absolutely. B.Com is open to students from any stream who have passed their 10+2 / PUC with the required percentage. The college conducts a brief foundation module at the beginning of the first semester to familiarise non-Commerce stream students with core accounting and commerce concepts.
The last date for applications is 31 July 2026. Applications received after the deadline may be considered against vacant seats after the first merit list, subject to the discretion of the admissions committee. We strongly recommend applying early as seats are limited and filled on merit.
No. Admissions to both B.Com and B.A. programmes are entirely merit-based, determined solely by the marks obtained in the 10+2 / PUC qualifying examination. There is no separate entrance test, written exam, or interview required.
Yes. Students awaiting their PUC / Class XII results can apply provisionally. You will need to submit an undertaking form stating that you are awaiting results and will provide the marksheet upon declaration. Admission will be confirmed only after you have passed the qualifying exam with the required percentage.
Several scholarships are available: the Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC students (Karnataka Government), the Minority Welfare Scholarship for eligible communities, the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) schemes, and internal merit and hardship waivers from the college. The college does not have its own hostel facility at present. However, the admissions office maintains a list of nearby approved women's paying guest accommodations and hostel facilities that students can be referred to. Transportation support is not currently offered by the college, but the campus is well-connected by public transport and autos.
B.Com graduates go on to pursue careers in banking, finance, accounting, corporate management, entrepreneurship, and civil services. Many also pursue CA, CS, MBA, or M.Com. B.A. graduates enter careers in education, journalism, civil services (IAS, IPS, KAS), law (LLB), social work, and postgraduate studies in M.A., MSW, or B.Ed. Our placement cell actively supports career transitions for all graduates.
